Bedroom (Third Floor)
Here we have the old, tired, pink bedroom. For a switch, I’m keeping this room a bedroom, but overhauling it.

I purchased a beautiful daybed from June Clinkscales (it’s against the window), and I am designing this room to house it. When finished, this room will be a frilly, feminine, warm, cozy boudoir. A retreat for the lady of the house.
This is still very much a work in progress, but here’s what I’ve done so far (click photos for larger versions).
The “dressing room” behind the door is a photo bent around a wall. With the lighting (NovaLyte warm white) it looks 3D (looks even more so in real life).
Close up of the lamp I bought at the Mini Time Machine museum in Tucson.
The bed under construction. The kit by Williamson Walton Marble provides the bedframe, gold leaf, and instructions. I used my own fabric for the mattress and padded headboard. It’s a long way from finished, but I wanted to wait until the rest of the bedroom was done before I completed the dressing.
Will trim and finish, put in pictures, curtains, rugs, pillows, and so forth, and accessorize! Already have Wendy Smale pillows ready and waiting.
