Artist Studio (Fourth Floor)

The middle room of the fourth floor, I’d never done much with. Used as a storage attic but that’s about it.

Before, with everything peeling and falling apart.

Walls are recovered with mat board and painted. I kept the original doors, but repainted and re-trimmed.

Added a window/skylight. This is a false wall–behind it is a photo I took of the Pacific, lit by a bright white Nova Lyte. The window is Houseworks. I had it sitting around in my box of unused windows (bought for other projects but then didn’t work). Happy to put it to use lighting the studio!

I liked the “old newspaper” wallpaper, so I didn’t tear it off. It’s intact behind the false wall and photo, which are set in place, not glued (very much).

More to come as I fill the room.
