Not a good living plan, but the house is fun to finish. Wouldn’t want to try to live in it, though. Only one bathroom, on the second floor, limited access to rooms, but withal, a cute house. Have had lots of fun making furniture and finishing the rooms, outside, and yard. Still haven’t figured out how to make Venetian blinds yet, but all in good time.
Hi I’m currently working my first dollhouse.. the Fairfield dollhouse 1:24 scale and wanted to ask how you did the attic staircase..trying to build a second set since the kit didn’t come with one and has been a frustrating process..but since yours turned out so beautifully I thought I’d ask how you managed it so well..thank you in advance
The stairs to the attic are a kit I bought from Miniatures.com: https://www.miniatures.com/124-Scale-Staircase-Kit-by-Houseworks-P17699.aspx Actually both staircases are these kits (I bought two and never used the one that came with the Fairfield). They are super easy to put together. Hope this is helpful!
Thank you very much..also one other question tho..did you have to modify the flooring in the dollhouse for the stairs much or change the designs from original schematics for better adjustments?..sorry for all the questions just nervous on doing these custom designs since this is my first kit and trying to do it well..thank you again
I did cut a hole in the attic floor but other than that I didn’t change the top floor much. I didn’t change the flooring, just worked around the hole. If it’s your first kit, I wouldn’t modify much. It’s much easier to follow their directions until you get a feel for putting kits together. This house was probably my 10th, so I was more comfortable modifying it.

🙂 Dollhouses would be inconvenient in real life.
